Tango Summer Ball

Remember the lovely Bill that came to Lazaat last December? Obviously now famous in the East Riding after his appearance in The Journal! Well, this event is over at his neck of the woods on Saturday 9th June in Sheffield. International Tango teachers, Bianca and Sacha will be instructing beginners and improver/intermediate classes and there will be a Tango orchestra - Fueye!

Re-launch of York Sunday Socials

This Sunday sees the re-launch of the Encuentro Latino social - The Montuno Lounge at the Gallery Nightclub in York. It's a classy venue on Clifford Street with a good floor and great sound system. The opening night should see familiar faces from York, Hull, Leeds and Manchester and if you're on for an after-party you can head on to York latin bar 'BoBo LoBo's'. Enjoy!

Salsa Social in the Restaurant

Thanks to all the local dancers who came to Salsa in the restaurant last week. Having had a comment about my last post in which I recommended classes in the area, I stand corrected on what I said about Anna and Nic's class being the only intermediate class and have changed the post. Sorry! May I just say that I am very happy to promote any teachers that want to support the socials and pull together to create a good scene in the area, so calm down! Good to know that you all read the blog though ;-) Paz y Salsa.

5th April Easter Social

This Thursday the social will be held in the restaurant at Lazaat - should be interesting! After the excellent turn-out last time, I'm hoping to see the beginner's back again - I can tell that some of you have already got the bug!

I'm often asked about which classes to go to in the area. Well as you know, Steph and I teach at Lazaat on a Monday night (Beginners at 7pm and Improvers at 8pm). Then when you're ready for something more taxing you can move onto Hull's Intermediate level class with Nic and Anna at St Stephen's Church Hall, off Spring Bank.
